| Hornell Rotary News!!! 1/17/2012 The Hornell Rotary Club recently hosted the District Governor Elect from the Dominican Republic, Alexandra "Alex" Martinez de Adams, and her husband, Charles for four days while they were en route to San Diego for one week of District Governor training. Past District Governor, Bob Gaffney presented club member Mark Davidson with the Paul Harris Fellowship Award!! Paul Harris was the founder of Rotary and the Fellowship is awarded to recognize contributions that further the mission of Rotary both locally and internationally. The Club surprised Jc's Cafe proprietor, Andy Carbone with an Honorary Club Badge and Pin in thanks for his efforts to make our meetings welcoming and enjoyable. Major Rodney Fowles of Hornell Salvation Army reported that the Hornell Rotary raised in excess of $2,400.00 during their Bell Ringing. Rotarians and friends rang the Salvation Army bell on Christmas Eve. Many thanks to the generosity of those who gave while passing by! The Club recently inducted new member, Denise Tychi. Welcome Denise! |
